This position is responsible for overseeing a multi-disciplinary team who formulate and disseminate messages related to T-Mobile’s fundamental mission. Position participates in the development of T-Mobile’s employee communication strategy including knowledge of audiences, development of key messages and tactical plans to support the organization’s positioning and priorities. Position partners with business leadership to provide strategic direction on properly communicating initiatives to the organization.
•Provides leadership to team, overseeing workflow, setting priorities, and assigning projects and tasks. Leads, mentors, reviews and formally evaluates staff performance. Develops measures of group productivity, effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of projects. Works with staff to improve efficiency. Manages resources, including financial and staff time, in an efficient and effective way to ensure activities are implemented within agreed budgets and deadlines.
•Develops and implements strategic communications which support company and functional long term goals, initiatives and projects. Ensures the timely and effective implementation of integrated communications to support business priorities. Transforms 'push' communications to optimize employee readership, ensures a two-way dialogue, and drives employee action and behavior change. Collaborate with peers and business leaders to ensure understanding and support of communications strategy, plans and needs.
•Establishes company best practices and tools for communications protocol to include schedules/calendars, timelines, events, scripts, announcements and accountabilities; coaches peers and business leaders on the above.
•Approves communication plans and messaging; writes edits and distributes communications as needed.
•Provides integrated tools, templates and guidelines for developing change management communications.
•Media relations and social media expertise in connection with issues management and communications
•Exceptional writing abilities and presentation skills; understanding of the digital space
•Experience leading, developing and nurturing a department •Experience working with senior executives
•Strong media relationships, especially within the advertising space
•Experience leading communications strategy planning and execution
•Strong organizational skills, idea driven; history of anticipating issues and the skills to be strategic, proactive and aggressive
•High School Diploma/GED
